There are two secondary schools in Kirkby and a special needs school
Knowsley Council replaced all of Kirkby’s secondary schools with new builds between 2009 and 2010.
All Saints Catholic High School is a local authority school. It is built on the site of the former Ruffwood Secondary School.
Kirkby High School is an academy run by the Rowan Learning Trust. It was previously known as Kirkby Sports College until it became an academy in 2013. It is built on the former site of Brookfield High School, which merged with Ruffwood Secondary School.
Bluebell Park School provides primary, secondary and post-16 special needs education.
