Independent candidate Brian Johns beats new a new Labour candidate to become one of the Whitefield Ward councillors
On 21st March 2024 Whitefield Ward went to the polls for a by-election to elect a new borough councillor. This was triggered by the resignation of independent Cllr Steve Guy following health issues.
The independent candidate Brian Johns was elected for the first time, having previously stood on 5 previous occasions. Brian last stood as an independent in 2016, and before that stood as a First For Kirkby candidate in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2015.
