We’ve just published the statements submitted to us by candidates in the 2021 local council elections
We asked the candidates standing to become Borough Councillors on Knowsley Council to provide us with a personal statement aimed at the people of Kirkby, of no more than 500 words, by Sunday 18th April. We have posted those that were submitted on our 2021 local council elections page.
For each local council ward:
- In Cherryfield Ward, neither of the two candidates submitted a statement
- In Northwood Ward, none of the 3 candidates submitted a statement
- In Shevington Ward, out of 3 candidates, only the TUSC candidate Neill John Dunne submitted a statement
- In Whitefield Ward, out of 4 candidates, only the independent candidate Steve Smith submitted a statement
We attempted to contact all candidates on the 8th April, and there was only one candidate we could not find a digital way of contacting them or their local party.
KirkbyTown.net makes these requests to candidates to try to stimulate the democratic process, and we hope this helps the people of Kirkby in understanding the candidates that are standing for election.
