The candidates standing to become local councillors in the May local elections have been announced today
All of the four wards in Kirkby are being contested this year, with half the wards having a choice of candidates from three parties or independent candidates.
You can find out about the local elections from our local election webpages. We’ve asked all the candidates standing in the four Kirkby wards (Cherryfield, Northwood, Shevington and Whitefield) to supply us with a personal statement of no more than 500 words by 17th April. These will be published as received, with any factual inaccuracies or unclear statements identified for the benefit of readers.
You can find links about voter registration on our election webpage to make sure you’re not denied the vote on 5th May.
